Let's talk about your case

A call to review whether the regulation applies to you, from when, and what you still need.

Contact

What we review

  1. Your commodity and your role in the chain: operator or trader.

  2. The date that applies to you: large or medium, micro or small. Wood already covered by the former EUTR applies from 2026, with no extension.

  3. What data you already have and what is missing.

  4. Whether it makes sense to work together. We define that in the next step.

What to prepare

  • The commodity or commodities you export, and to which EU country.
  • Your company size: large, medium, micro or small.
  • The approximate number of suppliers or producers, and of plots.
  • What data you already have (coordinates, polygons, documents) and in what format.
  • Who in your organization handles that data.

Haven't taken the self-assessment yet?

Get a traffic light by area, what to do in each one and the deadline that applies to you. It takes 15 to 20 minutes as an individual producer, and 25 to 35 as a cooperative or organization. It does not ask for your name or contact details.

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers on dates, roles and data. If your question is not here, book a call.

Does it apply to me if I sell to an intermediary and not directly to Europe?

Indirectly, yes. The regulation obliges the operator who places the product on the EU market, usually the importer. The date depends on that operator's size, not yours. If your buyer is large or medium-sized, it will ask you for plot-level data from 30 December 2026, even if you sell through an intermediary.

What happens if I don't comply by 30 December 2026?

Your buyer cannot submit the DDS without your data, and from that date the product cannot enter the EU without that statement (for large and medium-sized operators). That is why it will ask you for the information before shipping. If you do not have it ready, the shipment stops. Waiting until the last week is not a strategy.

Am I an operator or a trader? Who submits the DDS, me or my buyer?

It depends on your place in the chain. The operator is whoever places the product on the EU market for the first time, usually the importer, and it is the operator who submits the DDS. As an exporter, you provide the origin data for your product. If you are not sure which role you play, we will review it on the call.

My producers don't have coordinates. Can we still do this?

Yes, but the coordinates have to be collected before the deadline. We consolidate what you already have and coordinate with your producers or cooperatives on whatever is missing. The first step is knowing how many plots there are, who holds the data and what state it is in.

Do you collect data in the field?

Not for now. We consolidate and verify the data others collect. Field collection will be handled later, with our own tools or with subcontractors who pass our verification. If you already have someone doing it, we integrate their data.

What if the EU postpones the date again?

So far we have found no proposal for a further delay. In May 2026, the Commission wrote that it does not consider it appropriate to propose further changes to the basic text (COM(2026) 191). If the date changes, we will tell you with the official source. A delay moves the calendar, but it does not remove the need for verified data.

Do you work with governments or programs?

Yes. We offer training for government teams and support for programs that want their producers to reach European markets. If your agency or program has that challenge, book a call. We review the scope together before defining any work.
